Privacy & Cookie Policy
This policy explains what personal data WebFiling.uk collects, why, and your rights. WebFiling.uk is an independent service and is not affiliated with Companies House or GOV.UK.

Who we are
WebFiling.uk is operated by an individual (a sole trader) based in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us about privacy at privacy@webfiling.uk.
What we collect
When you join the waiting list we collect your email address, your language preference, and which page you signed up from. When you use our free tools, the company name you search is sent to the Companies House public API to fetch public information; we do not store your searches. We process your IP address briefly to prevent abuse, but do not store it with your subscription. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type.
Why we use it (legal basis)
We rely on your consent to add you to the waiting list, to send you the related emails, and to set analytics cookies. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure to limit abusive requests. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (sending email), and Google (analytics, only if you consent). Company names you search are sent to Companies House. Each provider has its own privacy policy.
International transfers
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent protections.
How long we keep it
We keep your waiting-list details until you ask us to delete them, or until the service launches and you decide not to continue. You can ask us to remove you at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email privacy@webfiling.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to make the site work, and Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer. Rejecting analytics does not affect your use of the site.
Email and marketing
We will only email you about the waiting list and the launch of our tool. We will not sell your data or send unrelated marketing. Every email lets you unsubscribe, and you can also email us to be removed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service develops. The date above shows when it was last changed.
